Packaging that meets PPWR before the inspector asks.

From 12 August 2026, packaging placed on the EU market must meet the requirements of the PPWR regulation. We check what applies to you, build a plan and run the implementation from audit to documentation.

Where you sell and your role in the supply chain: manufacturer, importer or distributor.

Packaging types

Product, grouped, transport and shipping packaging, plus protective materials.

Regulatory risk

Excess packaging, recyclability, labelling and gaps in documentation.

Links to EPR

Registrations, reports and packaging obligations in the countries you sell to.

Recommendations

Concrete steps that reduce the risk of sales blocks or marketplace problems.

Documentation

Declarations of conformity and technical documentation for each packaging type.

How implementation works

We track regulatory changes and link PPWR with your EPR reporting.

Who it’s for

PPWR applies to everyone who packs and sells

  • EU sellers. Companies placing packaged products on the market in any EU country.
  • Marketplace sellers. Sellers on Amazon, eBay, Allegro and other platforms.
  • Own packaging. Brands that design or order their own packaging and shipping boxes.
  • Food and hospitality. Food-contact and takeaway packaging carries extra requirements.

FAQ

PPWR questions

What is PPWR?

It is the EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (EU) 2025/40. As a regulation it applies directly in every EU country and replaces the previous packaging directive.

When does it apply?

From 12 August 2026. Further requirements, including labelling, recyclability and recycled content, come in stages over the following years.

Does PPWR replace EPR?

No. PPWR sets requirements for the packaging itself, while EPR registration and reporting in each country still apply. We handle both together.

How long does the audit take?

It depends on the number of products and packaging types. We give a timeline and quote after a free consultation.
