Who it is for

For companies selling to Poland from abroad

  • EU online shops. You ship orders directly to consumers in Poland.
  • Marketplace sellers. You sell via Amazon, Allegro and other platforms that ask for a BDO number.
  • Electronics and battery producers. Distance selling often requires appointing a representative.
  • Non-EU brands. You are entering the Polish market and need a local partner.

FAQ

Questions about the authorised representative

What is an authorised representative?

A company established in Poland that, under an agreement, performs the obligations of a foreign producer or importer: BDO registration, reports, fees and recycling.

Do I have to appoint one?

It depends on your products and sales model. For distance sales to consumers in Poland, e.g. of electrical equipment and batteries, it is often mandatory. The PPWR extends this requirement to packaging. We check it in a free consultation.

Do I need a Polish company or branch?

No. That is the point of a representative: it takes over the obligations without you setting up a business in Poland.

Which languages do you work in?

English, German and Polish. You receive reports and correspondence in your language.
